Day 27 Box Office: Pushpa 2 Hits ₹1170 Crore, Cementing Its Blockbuster Status

The movie Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, is still earning big at the box office, even in its fourth week. According to a recent report from Sacnilk.com, the film has now surpassed ₹1170 crore in collections across India.

On its 27th day in theatres, Pushpa 2: The Rule earned around ₹6.97 crore, maintaining a strong run despite new releases. The film, which premiered on December 5, is outperforming Baby John, a Varun Dhawan starrer that hit theatres on Christmas Day. Pushpa 2 is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, with music released under T-Series. The film’s success has set the stage for the next installment in the franchise, titled Pushpa 2: The Rampage, which was teased in the end credits.

Controversy Surrounding the Film

The film’s lead, Allu Arjun, was involved in controversy following a tragic incident on December 4 at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. A stampede-like situation occurred during the premiere, leading to the death of a 35-year-old woman named Revathi and injuries to her eight-year-old son.

The actor was arrested on December 13 but released on interim bail the next day. Though initially placed in judicial custody for 14 days, he was granted a four-week interim bail by the Telangana High Court. This bail period will end on January 10.
