Fateh Box Office Day 5: Sonu Sood, Jacqueline Fernandez Film Gains Momentum on Makar Sankranti

Over the weekend, Fateh had strong collections, earning over ₹2 crore daily from Friday to Sunday. However, it struggled on Monday, falling just short of ₹1 crore. With Tuesday’s festival boost, the total domestic box office collection now stands at ₹9.30 crore, edging closer to the ₹10 crore milestone.

Competition at the Box Office

Fateh is facing tough competition from several major South Indian films, including the Hindi version of S. Shankar’s Telugu action film Game Changer, Bobby Kolli’s Telugu action drama Daaku Maharaaj, and holdovers like Haneef Adeni’s Malayalam thriller Marco and Sukumar’s blockbuster sequel Pushpa 2: The Rise. This week, it will also compete with Kangana Ranaut’s Bollywood political thriller Emergency.

About the Film

Fateh is inspired by real-life cybercrime cases during the COVID-19 pandemic and focuses on the fight against online fraud. Alongside Sonu Sood, the film stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah. Co-produced by Sonu’s Shakti Sagar Productions and Zee Studios, Fateh has been praised for its action sequences.

Speaking about his vision for the film, Sonu Sood told ANI:

“I always wondered why Bollywood movies don’t have action scenes as impressive as foreign films. Foreign audiences rarely talk about our action sequences. As an actor, I couldn’t influence this much because of production budgets and scripts. But as a director, I made sure to bring that vision to Fateh.”
