Allu Arjun’s action-packed movie Pushpa 2: The Rule is still attracting crowds to theatres, even after three weeks of its release. Directed by Sukumar, the film also features Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in key roles. Released on December 5, the movie has now crossed ₹1450 crore at the worldwide box office, according to the latest update on Sacnilk.com.

Pushpa 2 Box Office Update

Pushpa 2: The Rule has earned an impressive ₹1467.80 crore globally in just 17 days, according to recent reports. The film has surpassed the lifetime box office collection of SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster RRR (₹1309 crore) a few days ago. Earlier, it also overtook the lifetime earnings of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. Pushpa 2 continues to dominate the box office, setting new benchmarks in Indian cinema.

Allu Arjun Update for Ongoing Controversies

Pushpa 2: The Rule continues its incredible run at the global box office, with its next targets being the lifetime collections of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 (₹1790 crore) and Aamir Khan’s Dangal (₹2000 crore). Meanwhile, the film’s team announced on December 19 that it has already crossed ₹1502 crore globally.

However, while the film thrives internationally, controversies surround the lead actor, Allu Arjun, back in India. A tragic stampede-like incident at the movie’s premiere in Hyderabad resulted in the death of a woman. Allu Arjun was arrested and later released on bail following the incident. His father, Allu Aravind, and the film’s director, Sukumar, visited the victim in the hospital, offering condolences. Arjun donated ₹25 lakh to the victim’s family, while Sukumar contributed ₹5 lakh.

Adding to the tension, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy alleged that the police informed Allu Arjun about the woman’s death while he was at the theatre. Protests erupted outside Arjun’s home in Hyderabad, where angry protesters threw stones and tomatoes, breaking flower pots and demanding further support for the victim’s family.

Pushpa 2: The Rule is the sequel to Sukumar’s 2021 hit, Pushpa: The Rise. Allu Arjun reprises his role as Pushpa Raj alongside Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. The franchise is set to expand further, with the third installment titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage already announced.
